Adamax and Semax: separating the evidence

Research on a parent peptide cannot establish the properties of a modified analogue.

ThePepBlog Research Edition · Educational summary · Prepared September 20, 2026

What the research examined

Research on a parent peptide cannot establish the properties of a modified analogue. The cited Semax literature includes a comparative clinical report in ischemic stroke and a rat experiment measuring inflammatory gene expression after cerebral ischemia. Those publications concern Semax, not Adamax.

How to interpret the findings

Structural similarity is a reason to investigate an analogue, not a substitute for experiments on that analogue. Neither the clinical observations nor the rat transcription results establish an Adamax effect.
