A 2007 experiment examined AHK-Cu in cultured dermal papilla cells and isolated human hair follicles. Researchers reported follicle elongation and cell-proliferation changes. One measure of reduced apoptotic cells did not reach statistical significance, an important qualification to the broader mechanistic interpretation.

How to interpret the findings
