What the research examined
A human tissue study reported associations between age, NAD-related measurements, and oxidative stress. A separate review describes mitochondrial NAD synthesis, transport, and consumption, placing those observations in a broader biochemical context.
How to interpret the findings
A correlation with age cannot establish that NAD depletion causes every observed change, or that an external preparation reverses aging. Tissue measurements also differ from whole-person clinical outcomes. NAD is a coenzyme, not a peptide.
